Books

I love this bookcase Wyatt built for me for my birthday. As I have previously mentioned, living in Tiny House presents us with some complications when it comes to decorating. Just yesterday I received a rug that I ordered for our living room that ended up only being a couple feet short of covering the entire floor space. Not exactly what I had in mind when I went looking for an accent rug. Anyway, I love having somewhere to display books. I feel like I have a relationship with books that is similar to the relationship most have with music. Every book I own holds it own memories. From my Chanel book that reminds me of Jenna and living on Center street, a cracked leather cover of Walt Whitman's 'Leaves of Grass' reminds me of an ex-boyfriend who probably really wishes he had never leant me his favorite poetry book, all the way to my Primary manual that reminds me I need to get cracking on that lesson. I haven't really finished putting this thing together but it is my new project. I'm seriously considering picking up school this fall and starting over (don't cry, Dad) with interior design. I'm starting a class on Tuesday that I'm hoping will solidify my decision. Check back here for updates on that decision and other updates to come which include a little trip to St. George and my birthday.

  2. love the bookshelf! books do hold memories. they transport us to a time in our lives when we lived through another's story, briefly and miraculously forgetting our own.

you both are wonderful. please go to school for interior design. you have a keener eye for aesthetics than anyone i know.
